Community Advisory Group (CAG)

A Community Advisory Group (CAG) was created for the Phase I Study to aid in incorporating public input into the project.  Its members included volunteers from various stakeholder groups:

• Local and county government

• Agricultural interests

• Environmental groups

• Business interests

• Residential interests

• Emergency services

• School district

The CAG was established to provide input on the development of the Problem Statement, the Purpose and Need Statement, the alternatives to be studied, and the preferred alternative for the project.  The responsibilities of the CAG included providing input into the study for IDOT as well as being a source of information for the general public.  The CAG met seven times over the course of the Phase I Study.
